Everyone at the meeting should speak in a way you understand. If someone uses a word or phrase you do not understand, ask them to explain it. If you or your family do not speak English well, ask for an interpreter. You can also ask that your IPP be translated into your native language.^[1]Section 4646(j).

The IPP meeting is your chance to talk about what is important to you. It’s important to communicate the things you need from the regional center and other agencies, such as Medi-Cal and IHSS, and from your family, friends, and service providers.
