Usted y su hijo deben decidir qu\u00e9 hacer a continuaci\u00f3n y qu\u00e9 debe incluir el IPP para alcanzar las metas de vida adulta de su hijo. Sin embargo, es posible que los estudiantes de 18 a 22 a\u00f1os que no hayan recibido un diploma regular o certificado de finalizaci\u00f3n de su distrito escolar, a\u00fan necesiten utilizar los servicios de educaci\u00f3n especial. Debido a que el distrito escolar sigue siendo un recurso gen\u00e9rico para los servicios de transici\u00f3n para estos estudiantes mayores, la ley dice que los centros regionales no pueden pagar ciertos servicios a menos que los ofrecidos por el distrito escolar no sean un sustituto apropiado.
